Krissen Pillay is a counsel at the Ho Chi Minh City office. He focuses on mergers & acquisitions, private equity and corporate matters. Krissen is a South African qualified lawyer and registered with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa. Krissen has practiced law at two of the largest firms in South Africa and has worked on M&A transactions across various sectors, including cross-border transactions. He advises, amongst other things, on joint-ventures, restructuring and investments.

- Advising Novaland on the restructuring of its international corporate bonds as part of restructuring efforts (US$550 million);
- Advised PSA International (Singapore) on its acquisition a 30% stake in Sotrans Group (Vietnam, HOSE listed) (US$55 million);
- Advised Swire Beverage Holdings (Hong Kong) as Vietnamese local counsel in its acquisition of Coca Cola Beverages in Vietnam and Cambodia (US$1,1 billion);
- Advised Phuong Chau Hospital Group on the acquisition by CVC Capital Partners of 60% stake in the Group.
