YKVN Senior Partner Minh Dang Appointed New Member @ SIAC – Court of Arbitration

YKVN is pleased to announce that YKVN Senior Partner, Minh Dang, has been appointed to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Court of Arbitration for a term commencing on 1 April 2019 and ending on 31 March 2021.

Minh is one of fourteen newly appointed members. Head of the firm’s Singapore office and of its international arbitration practice, Minh becomes the first partner of a Vietnamese law firm to join the SIAC Court of Arbitration.

Speaking of the new appointments, Gary Born, the current President of the Court said in SIAC’s announcement of the appointments: “I extend a warm welcome to our new Court members whose illustrious reputations and stature in the international arbitration community and deep specialist knowledge across diverse legal systems and cultures will ensure that SIAC remains at the forefront of cutting-edge developments in the law and practice of commercial as well as investment arbitration.”

Commenting the nomination Minh stated: “This appointment is an immense source of pride for our firm as it also recognizes the significant growth of our international arbitration practice with its focus on complex disputes.
