YKVN Counsel Huynh Thong, First Vietnamese Lawyer Selected for the Inaugural IFC – NYU Impact Legal Training Program

YKVN Counsel Huynh Thong recently attended the inaugural IFC–NYU Impact Legal Training Program at New York University School of Law, becoming the first Vietnamese lawyer selected by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for this initiative.
Jointly organized by IFC and NYU Law, the program equips lawyers to support the fast-growing field of impact investing through:
- Foundations of Impact Investing – principles, instruments and legal frameworks for impact-focused transactions
- Fund Structuring Workshop – practical guidance on setting up and managing impact investment funds
- IILWG/Grunin Center Annual Conference – discussion of legal issues in social entrepreneurship and impact investing
Impact investing is gaining momentum in Vietnam as the government and private sector prioritize green growth, climate resilience and inclusive development, and capital is increasingly aligned with measurable social and environmental outcomes.
As part of a cohort of thirteen lawyers from across Asia, Huynh Thong’s presence underscores YKVN’s commitment to sustainable development and legal innovation in Vietnam and across the region.
