YKVN advised Masan Group on the sale of a 4.99% stake in Masan High-Tech Materials to The Elmet Group

YKVN advised Masan Group Corporation (HOSE: MSN) (“Masan”) on the sale, through a wholly owned subsidiary, of a 4.99% stake in Masan High-Tech Materials Corporation (UPCoM: MSR) (“MSR”) to The Elmet Group Co. (NASDAQ: ELMT) (“Elmet”), a U.S.-based supplier of tungsten alloys and strategic mineral products. The transaction implies an equity valuation of US$2.5 billion for MSR. 

In parallel, MSR and Elmet entered into multi-year agreements under which MSR will supply tungsten products and conversion services to Elmet. The agreements carry committed volumes of approximately 1,250 tonnes of WO₃-equivalent annually over a term of more than eight years, and take effect on completion. 

On completion, Masan’s subsidiary will remain MSR’s controlling shareholder with approximately 87.46% ownership. Completion is subject to customary closing conditions, including required regulatory and corporate approvals.
