Nguyen Minh Thu focuses on providing legal advice on corporate, foreign investment and M&A transactions. Thu has advised on a wide variety of corporate and M&A transactions with recent focus on pharmaceutical, textile, automobile, rooftop solar power, food and beverage, etc.
Thu also advised on many anti-dumping matters in Vietnam for manufacturers and importers from China, Malaysia, and Thailand. Thu has also participated in many transactions related to foreign investment activities in Vietnam, from the licensing process to the post-licensing stage, as well as supporting foreign investors in the process of doing business and investing in Vietnam.
Thu is one of the industrial property representatives of YKVN.

- Advised MJN US Holdings LLC and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, among others, on trademark registration in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar (2005-2023);
- Advised PT Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk in the purchase of 70% shares in Thang Long Cement Joint Stock Company (2012);
- Represented Mead Johnson Company (now MJN US Holdings LLC) in handling infringement actions against their Enfa trademark in Vietnam (2014);
- Advised multiple importers from Malaysia and China on anti-dumping cases concerning steel, plastic products, plastic products made from propylene polymers, polyester long-fiber products, sugar cane, etc. in Vietnam (AD01, AD04, AD07, AD08, AD11, AD17) (2013-2023);
- Advised numerous importers from Malaysia and Chinese on many anti-dumping matters (AD01, AD04, AD07, AD08, AD11, AD17) in Vietnam (2013-2023);
- Advised a Vietnamese company to acquire the HRSG project of a Vietnamese company in Dung Quat, Quang Ngai (2016-2017);
- Advised a foreign company to acquire capital contribution of a Vietnamese pharmaceutical company in Hoa Lac High Tech Park, Hanoi (2018);
- Advised on the protection of Evisu’s trademarks in Vietnam (2018);
- Advised a foreign company to acquire Vietnamese company in e-commerce in Ho Chi Minh city (2018);
- Advised a brokerage insurance company in Malaysia to establish a brokerage insurance company (2021);
- Advised numerous companies on registration of their franchising activities in Vietnam (2007-2019);
- Advised two Vietnamese companies to establish companies on investment of real estate business in Singapore and manufacturing of automobile in Philippines (2021-2022).
