Dang Thi Thai Buu is a Senior Associate based in YKVN’s Ho Chi Minh City office. Her practice focuses on advising both domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, and foreign direct investments. Buu has been involved in transactions across a range of sectors, including real estate, education, F&B, and renewable energy. Before joining YKVN in 2021, she worked at the legal arm of a Big Four accounting firm.

- Advised a Vietnamese high-profile real estate conglomerate in its debt and equity restructuring.
- Acted as local counsel to assist a Hongkong brewery group in in acquisition of a Vietnamese subsidiary of a leading multinational group in FMCG sector.
- Assisted a Vietnamese education group on the restructuring advice, due diligences and preparation for a proposed investment by a number of potential investors.
- Assisted a leading private conglomerate in acquisition of shares and equity of a Chinese investment company in four development companies for township projects in Dong Nai province.
- Assisted a PRC-based renewable energy group in its 50% acquisition of the first waste-to-energy project in Ho Chi Minh City.

- Acted as local counsel in multiple vendor due diligence exercises in connection with initial public offerings and share transfers of companies in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
- Assisted a Singaporean company in the F&B sector with structuring advice for investment in Vietnam and the preparation of transaction documents for exercise of the structuring advice.
- Advised a Vietnamese real estate conglomerate on restructuring its group companies to achieve a streamlined and optimal structure, leading to a reduction in operational costs.
- Advised a private equity fund on its strategic investment in, and divestment from, an education group in Vietnam.
- Advised an international real estate developer on various real estate matters including land lease agreement, conducting due diligence on the land of an industrial zone/park and bank guarantee in relation to the transaction.
- Advised a VN30-listed company in the brewery sector on due diligence and deal structuring for its proposed acquisition of brewery companies in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Long via public tender offers.
- Advised an industrial wood manufacturer as borrower counsel on a US$60 million financing from the International Finance Corporation.
- Advised a foreign investor in Vietnamese legal framework for additional share issuance.
- Advised a Singapore-based real estate developer in various M&A transactions of real estate project in An Giang.
