Trang’s practice focuses on advising greenfield project developments of and transactions concerning large-scale infrastructure and energy projects which were mostly invested in the form of project finance, including a refinery and petrochemical plant, BOT power plants, upstream oil and gas projects and renewable energy projects. Further, Trang has worked regularly on a broad range of corporate, foreign investment and M&A matters.

- Advising the investors of a power plant project (including a 1,800 MW power plant and a 250 km transmission line) in Laos on project finance, and drafting and negotiating an EPC turnkey contract.
- Advised Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (PVN) on an over US$1 billion onshore facility for Block B/52 upstream gas discovery and exploitation project and midstream project.
- Advised a US$9 billion refinery and petrochemical project on all legal aspects, including project development, government contracts, project finance, EPC, and corporate.
- Advised the investors of two BOT power plant projects (1,980MW and 1,200MW) on government contracting issues, drafting and negotiating project documents, advising on various Vietnamese law aspects of project finance and regulatory issues.
- Advised several investors of Block B/52 upstream gas discovery and exploitation project.
- Advised Coretronic Technology Co., Ltd. on an EPC turnkey contract for a factory producing high-resolution displays.
- Advised an English investor on sale of its investment in Phu My 3 BOT gas-fired power plant (716.8MW).
- Advised a local investor on its proposed acquisition of a partial interest in a BOT power plant (1,320MW).
- Advised a financial services group and an investment bank on its US$50 million investment in Bitexco Power, a company owning and operating 18 hydropower projects.
