YKVN Co-Organized the First-Ever Seminar on Claim Management in the Construction Sector in Vietnam

Leveraging on its substantial experience in construction disputes in Vietnam, YKVN recently conducted a full-day seminar in Hanoi on construction claim management in Vietnam. This was the first time that such a seminar was held in Vietnam, which is in the midst of an unprecedented construction boom. The seminar was organized jointly with HKA Global, one of the world’s leading construction claims consultancy firms, and the Vietnam Engineering Consultant Association (VECAS), the leading association of construction consultants and professionals in Vietnam.

YKVN and other presenters discussed, and provided practical solutions to, some of the most salient claims management issues arising out of construction projects in Vietnam including Contract Administration, Claim Fundamentals, Project Delay, Time and Cost Claim Preparation, Acceleration, Concurrent Delay, Claim to Dispute, and Dispute Resolution. Participants to this sold-out event include representatives from the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, World Bank Vietnam, Asian Development Bank, as well as attorneys, employers, project management units, and contractors.

Due to the success of the seminar, and the positive feedbacks received from the participants, YKVN, HKA Global and VECAS are planning to hold a similar seminar in Ho Chi Minh City in the Spring of 2018.
